19- Building consolidation

Sometimes, after a while, some building is starting having stability problem due to subsidence of foundations. This means cracks of the wall that is just the first alarm of a huge and heavy problems because foundations partly subside. Our machines were used by the biggest specialists in this field to inject a special polyurethane resin in the soil to fill voids and increase its bearing so to level the collapsed part of foundation and restoring the building equilibrium.

18- In-field foaming of joints

Once installed, mainly underground, insulated hoses must be welded and then the joint must be foamed. Thanks to the compact dimensions, its reliability and the long hoses (up-to 90mt) our spray machine is very useful for the foaming of pipe joints on the field. Here some examples of jobs done by our customers with different model of our spray machine used with pouring adapter on the gun for injections.

17- Bath tubs

The reinforcement of bath tubs by high density foam. Generally bath tubs were produced by a ABS or other plastic sheet vacuum molded and then reinforced by polyester resin with fiberglass. This technique is very pollutant especially regarding the safety of the workers involved in the application of the resin. For this reason, the innovative application is the dispensing of high density foam as reinforcement of bath tubs.

15- Pipe insulation

Different applications of pipes insulation by rigid polyurethane foam. – On field foaming for pipe insulation on site. Pipes are insulated on the field just before installing – In-house foaming for pipe insulation. Pipes are foamed in the production facility using moulds or pipe-in-pipe technique. – In-house foaming of flexible insulated hoses. Very special polyurethane formulation and casting technique to insulate flexible pipes insulated by polyurethane foam.

14- Tank insulation

Tank insulation by rigid polyurethane foam. Two different techniques are used to insulate tanks by rigid polyurethane foam: – pouring of rigid polyurethane foam in the jacket of the tank. In this case the spray gun is used with the pouring adapter to make an injection in the between of the two walls of the jacket so to perfectly insulate the tank – direct spraying of the tank and then coating, if needed, to protect the foam by UV rays. This is mainly used for very large tank and silos, often already installed in the final position. Both applications can be done with our high pressure spray machines.

13- Under roofing

Series of example of spraying of rigid polyurethane foam used for roof insulation by under-roofing. If the roof cannot be directly covered with polyurethane foam by outside, it can be insulated by inside. The roof insulation by polyurethane foam sprayed from inside is very common in houses.

12- Roofing

Series of example of spraying of rigid polyurethane foam used for roof insulation. Here you can see two typical application of roofing: – Direct foaming over the roof; the rigid polyurethane foam is sprayed directly on the roof and then coated by a paint to protect it against UV rays. This is mainly used for roof insulation of industrial buildings, airports, commercial building, mall, asbestos encapsulation/asbestos recovery etc – Foaming of the roof and covered with tiles. In this case the roof is sprayed by rigid polyurethane foam in the between of the wooden frame used to then fix the tiles covering the insulation. This is mainly used for roofing of houses.

11- Insulation of prefabricated roof panels

One of the biggest producer of prefabricated roof panels. Our spray machine was used to insulate precast lightweight structural concrete elements by coating with an homogeneous and continuous layer of rigid polyurethane foam. This grants the supply of roof elements ready to assemble and matching the most severe laws and rules concerning the energy saving because a uniform layer of the best insulating material (rigid polyurethane foam) was applied and no manpower and other jobs must be done afterwards. The spray machine was integrated in an automated dispensing system granting the precise and full cover of the roof elements. Our system grants removing the dust and drying the precast concrete element before passing under the automated spaying system that dispenses the rigid polyurethane foam layer over the roof element, perfectly following its shape.

10- Insulation of floor

Several examples of floor insulation made by our spray machines. A rigid polyurethane foam is sprayed on the floor to insulate it before its finishing with tiles or other materials. Generally the density of this particular polyurethane foam formulation is higher than the one used for wall insulation because it must keep the load of the passage of people or, worse, of means.

9- Insulation of solar panel

Our spray machine was used to insulate the solar panel. This provides many advantages: the greater one was the increase of energy efficiency of the solar panel. It is proven that the energy efficiency of the solar cells decrease in case of high temperature, dramatically reducing the production of power (even down to 50%). Thanks to the spray polyurethane foam, the solar panel produced by our customer keeps the same energy efficiency even when high temperature are reached (sometime up-to 80°C on the back surface of the panel): this provides an unbelievable marketing advantage to this panel compared to all the others.

8- Shipyard: insulation and floating system of ships

Many of our customers have used our spray machine to pour rigid polyurethane foam in the cavities of ships for their insulation and to increase the floating systems. In some cases the foam was used also to fill cavities to avoid the stagnation of dangerous smokes and fumes that can create problem to the ship in case of their high concentration!

Our machine was used to spray rigid polyurethane foam on wall for their insulation. Here some examples of application of spray foam over wall for the insulation of houses and industrial building before the construction of a second thinner brick wall as finishing

6- Injection of rigid polyurethane foam

One of our machine was used to inject rigid polyurethane foam for the insulation of hot water heaters to use in the houses.

5- Wall Cavity filling for insulation

A very good insulation in the existing houses can be made by injecting rigid polyurethane foam in the cavity of the wall. This is done by making a series of holes in the wall you want to insulate and then filling it by injecting rigid polyurethane foam. Our mixing gun can easily mount a pouring adapter for a flexible disposable plastic pipe: this allows even reaching intricate corners of the wall so to grant a perfect and uniform insulation.

4- Foundation water-proofing

Many machines were sold for the water-proofing of foundations of the building, especially in countries were ground is soaked in water. The solution of spraying rigid polyurethane foam as water-proofing layer is an excellent solution because it makes a uniform and continuous layer against water. This layer also perfectly resists to wearing when foundations are covered with earth, granting a perfect seal of foundation of the building. This technique is used both for industrial and residential buildings and villas.

3- Cold rooms for frozen food

Our customer in Nigeria would like to insulate three huge warehouses for the storage of frozen food. After analysing different alternatives, including the use of insulated panels, the quickest and cheapest solution was found in spraying a 20cm thick layer of rigid polyurethane foam all over the building. This avoids dangerous and expensive thermal bridges because a uniform and continuous insulation, granting keeping a temperature of -20°C with +45°C outside.

2- Spray machine for insulation of container

Our machine was used to insulate modular housing. Our Italian customer is one of the world biggest producer of modular housing and their target was to quickly apply a layer of insulating material so to insulate their container from heat and cold weather because their container are exported worldwide, even in extreme temperature conditions. For this reason they selected our spray machine to dispense rigid polyurethane foam on the wall, roof and floor of the house before finishing it.

1- Spray machine for rigid polyurethane foam

Our spray machine was used to insulate the first green house made in Italy, close to Milan. The aim was to perfectly insulate the whole house by the rigid polyurethane foam by spray it on the wall. A 8cm thickness layer was applied so to guarantee the best insulation of the house from cold as well as from hot temperature. The job was done in less than 2 days thanks to the higher output of the unit, its reliability and the powerful of the hydraulic unit moving the dosing pumps.
