7: Plant for adhesive for flocked materials

Tec Mac was requested to design a very special machine tailored for the mixing of a special adhesive used in the production of flocked materials by one of the biggest company in this field. The main issue was the chemicals used for this application: it is a very reactive formulation so the tank were put under nitrogen blanket and the whole machines was designed to match the ATEX specification being used DMF (Dimethylformate) as solvent in the B component. Furthermore, in-line flow meters were mounted to constantly check the output and the ratio, using the close-loop technology to instantly change the speed of the pump. Of course, in case of out-of-ratio, the machine generates an alarms and stops the production not to face a quality problem at the end of the line.

6: Machine for adhesives for converting

Low pressure machine designed to mix two-component solvent-less adhesives used in the laminating machine used in the flexible packaging films production. The unit was designed to solve all the problems connected with the two component adhesive dispensing in the laminating plant. Thanks to our patent, the customer knows exactly the consumption of adhesive even when the line is running at a speed of over than 400mt/min so to grant the correct adhesion of the layers in the production of flexible films. The challenging idea was to grant a precise control of the quantity of dispensed adhesive even when a quantity of lower than 2gr/m2 is required! Furthermore, thanks to our experience, the maintenance of the unit is highly reduced down to few minutes a day: nothing compared to the huge amount of time needed by competitors machines in this field!

5: Plant for gluing panels for refrigerated trucks – two side-by-side rows of tables –

This unit has been specifically designed for dispensing adhesive for bonding large sandwich panels that are used for the construction of refrigerated trucks and isothermal vans for industrial and commercial vehicles. The bonding technique ensures a homogeneous structure, with an excellent thermal coefficient as well as a great flexibility in production, allowing producing panels of different sizes at the same time and faster and cheaper than other techniques. Another important advantage is the reduced cost compared to other production systems, both in terms of first capital investment required and of running production costs. The system provides a gluing unit in a fixed position and the mobile dispensing traverse that moves on the preparation tables arranged in line. This line has been specially designed for those with two rows of side-by-side tables; in this way, the machine is fixed while the distribution traverse rotates 180 ° so to move the mixing head from one table to the next one aside. The dispensing is fully automatic, ensuring perfect distribution of the glue according to what is programmed. The machine is extremely reliable even in the most demanding working conditions. The unit is generally supplied with flow meters with closed loop control, in order to guarantee the supply of glue always at the required ratio: this guarantees a perfect adhesion as well as the dispensing of the required amount of glue on each panel! After the first pass of adhesive, the operators lay the necessary insulation and / or reinforcements and then the system automatically delivers the second adhesive pass on the slabs just laid down, allowing then to put the just glued panels under vacuum. As soon as the work is finished on a table, the automatic system is ready to be rotated on the table next to start the new processing cycle according to a new program.

4: Plant for gluing panels for refrigerated trucks –side-by-side tables-

This unit has been specifically designed for dispensing adhesive for gluing large sandwich panels used for the construction of refrigerated trucks and isothermal bodies for industrial and commercial vehicles. The bonding techniques ensures a homogeneous structure, with an excellent thermal coefficient as well as a great flexibility in production, allowing producing panels of different sizes at the same time and faster and cheaper than other techniques. Another important advantage is the reduced cost compared to other production systems, both in terms of first capital investment required and of running production costs. The system foresees a gluing unit in a fixed position and the mobile traverse moving on the preparation tables placed side-by-side. This line has been designed specifically for those customers with tables side by side and not in line; in this way the machine is implemented on the traverse unit so to move the whole assembly over each table, without having pipes or cables that could hinder the free circulation around the other ones. The dispensing is totally automatic, ensuring perfect distribution of the glue according to what is programmed. The machine is extremely reliable even in the most demanding working conditions. The unit is generally supplied with flow meters with closed loop control, in order to guarantee the supply of glue always at the required ratio: this guarantees a perfect adhesion as well as the dispensing of the exactly required quantity of glue on each panel! After the first pass of adhesive, the operators lay the necessary insulation and / or reinforcements and then the system automatically dispenses the second adhesive pass on the slabs just laid down, allowing then to put the just glued panels under vacuum. As soon as the work is done on a table, the automatic system is ready to move to the next one to start the new processing cycle according to a new program.

3: Plant for gluing panels for refrigerated trucks – in line –

This unit has been designed specifically for dispensing adhesive for bonding large sandwich panels used for the construction of refrigerated trucks and isothermal body for industrial and commercial vehicles. The bonding technique ensures a homogeneous structure of the isothermal truck body, with an excellent thermal coefficient as well as a great flexibility in production, allowing producing panels of different sizes at the same time and faster and cheaper than other techniques. Another important advantage is the reduced costs compared to other production systems, both in terms of first capital investment required and of running production costs. The system foresees a gluing unit in a fixed position and the mobile traverse that moves over the preparation tables placed in line. Several tables can be placed one after the other until reaching 120 meters in length. The dispensing is totally automatic, ensuring perfect distribution of the glue according to what is programmed on the HMI. The machine is extremely reliable even in the most demanding working conditions. The unit is generally supplied with flow meters with closed loop control, in order to guarantee the supply of glue always at the required ratio: this guarantees a perfect adhesion as well as the dispensing of the required quantity on each panel! After the first pass of adhesive, the operators lay the necessary insulation and / or reinforcements and then the system automatically dispenses the second adhesive pass on the slabs just laid down, allowing then to put the just glued panels under vacuum. As soon as the work on a table is completed, the system automatically moves to the next one to start the new automated dispensing cycle according to the new production program.

2: Gluing system for rock wool or EPS sandwich panels.

This unit has been specially designed for the dispensing of adhesive for bonding rock wool, EPS or similar materials sandwich panels. Our machine can be easily combined with both continuous and discontinuous production plants. The machine is extremely reliable even in the most demanding working conditions. The unit is generally supplied with flow meters with closed loop control, in order to guarantee the supply of glue always at the required ratio: this guarantees a perfect adhesion! Furthermore, this allows connecting the total output of our machine to the speed of the customer’s line, so to guarantee the correct coverage of the sheet at all times, even when the panel thicknesses change during production. The supply is completed by the traverse unit which moves the two dispensing heads and allow both spraying and poker dispensing or a combination of both. Thanks to the extreme efficiency of the mixing, there is a great saving of adhesive – at same gluing mechanical characteristics – allowing a quick pay-back on the investment. In the below photos you can see both spray and poker application. Remember that Tec Mac was the first in the world in designing a two-component adhesive machine and still the first in the world in designing a machine suitable for two-component adhesive with filler!

1: Primer plant for PIR panels.

This unit has been specifically designed for the dispensing of primer for the production of PIR panels. It is well known that PIR formulations have adhesion problems, especially on the lower sheet; for this reason, the application of a primer as an adhesion promoter becomes a must to guarantee the production of perfect sandwich panels that do not delaminate. For this reason, we have specifically designed this unit for the application of primer, both on continuous and discontinuous lines. The machine is extremely reliable even in the most demanding working conditions. The unit is generally supplied with flow meters with closed loop control, in order to guarantee the delivery of primer always at the required ratio. Furthermore, this allows connecting the total flow of our machine to the speed of the customer’s line, so as to guarantee the correct coverage of the sheet at all times, even when the panel thicknesses change during production. The unit has been designed with the minimum foot-print, so to be easily positioned and implemented even on existing lines, really with minimum effort and in very short time. In addition, the special design of the dispensing system allows a real continuous production for hours without clogging, with NO stop of production to change/alternate the dispensing device, as happens with systems of less qualified and less specialized competitors.
